Ironing shirts correctly

Find a hard surface – ideally an ironing board. However, when in a hotel or out and about, a table covered with a thin sheet should suffice. Use a steam iron. Steam helps to get rid of small creases very quickly. Avoid ironing at too high a temperature. As a rule of thumb, cotton shirts can take more heat than shirts made from synthetic fibres (for this reason please refer to any information provided in the care instructions).

Iron the collar first, followed by the sleeves and then the button placket. As direct contact between the buttons and the iron should be avoided, we recommend ironing the button placket on the reverse side. Following this, iron the shoulder sections, and then the front and back sides of the shirt.

After washing, shirts with the “non-iron” feature return to their original form of their own accord. Non-iron shirts can simply be hung up after washing and drying and quickly smoothed out.
