Accelerated digital communication currently dominates the zeitgeist, changing the perception of fashion. Contrasting phenomena, such as digital artifciality and a longing for real-world authenticity, globalization, and the desire for individuality defne the spirit of our times. As in design and architecture, fashion, too, now reflects a global, cross-cultural aesthetic in which parameters such as age, sex, dictates of style, and dress codes play an increasingly insignifcant role. The real relevance today lies in being part of a global community while underscoring and maintaining one’s individual identity at the same time.
This zeitgeist is reflected in the three style elements upon which the collection is based. These range from sartorial sophistication, to a skillful mix of contemporary classic and casual elements, to the habiliments of the informal urban workforce.
